Power moonroof
Open up the moonroof when you want some fresh-air driving (available for LX, LX 2.0, and ES 2.0). Opens all the way or tilts up for ventilation. There's also a sliding sunshade.
Rear spoiler
The rear spoiler gives your Protegé an even sportier appearance, and has a center brake light built in. Available for all Protegé models (standard on ES 2.0).

New 16-inch alloy wheels
Standard on the 2005 ES 2.0. They come with 195/50R16 V-rated all-season radial tires. A great combination-sharp looks and high performance.
60/40 split fold-down rear seat
So you and a couple of friends just bought that 6-foot floor lamp you've needed, but how do you get it back to your place? In a Protegé, you just fold down one side of the rear seatback, which extends the trunk space. And nobody has to walk home.
AM/FM/CD sound system
Let the good tunes roll! Helps you get into a party mood-or any mood you want-when you're behind the wheel. Easy-to-read LCD display, easy-to-use controls. The system includes four speakers and a digital clock. Standard on LX, LX 2.0, and ES 2.0, available on DX. An in-dash minidisc player, in-dash 6-CD changer and a cassette player are available as accessories for all models.
Power windows and door locks
Standard on 2005 LX, LX 2.0, and ES 2.0. The driver's window also has a one-touch-down feature-you can lower it all the way with a single touch of the switch, perfect for parking lots and toll gates. The door locks let you unlock only the driver's door, or all doors at once. Good for your security.
Remote keyless entry system with illuminated entry
Lock or unlock the Protegé from a distance, for safety and convenience. You can unlock only the driver's door or all the doors, and the interior lights come on when you unlock the car. Standard on the ES 2.0, available for LX models.
2.0-liter DOHC 16-valve engine
2005 Protegé ES 2.0 and LX 2.0 have a new 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine that delivers 130 hp and 135 lb-ft of torque. It helps give these Protegés very responsive acceleration and all-around satisfying performance. The engine also meets strict ULEV (Ultra-Low Emissions Vehicle) standards.
1.6-liter DOHC 16-valve engine
2005 Protegé DX and LX have a 1.6-liter DOHC 4-cylinder engine that puts out 103 hp and 106 lb-ft of torque. The engine also meets strict ULEV (Ultra-Low Emissions Vehicle) standards.
